About KAMA

Established on October 23, 1974, as the Korean Medical Association of America (KMAA) and later rebranded as the Korean American Medical Association (KAMA) in 1993, our organization thrives on the support and dedication of members spanning three key U.S. regions. Recognized within the American Medical Association (AMA)-Specialty, Service, and Society (SSS), KAMA actively participates in the AMA House of Delegates. Dr. Chai-chang Choi, a driving force in our formation, led the inaugural assembly in 1975

Our legacy includes joint conferences with the Korean Medical Association, the CYO Memorial Fund, and ongoing efforts to serve members and the wider community through initiatives like the Journal of KAMA and the Dr. Chang Yul Oh’s Memorial Lectures. Today, KAMA remains committed to excellence and service.
