Welcome to KAMA!

I would like to extend the warmest welcome to the Korean-American Medical Association (KAMA). Founded in 1974, KAMA has undergone breath-taking growth and expansion in the past 40 years. Begun with only a small group of physicians from the northeast, it has grown to become an organization that truly represents Korean-American physicians from all corners of the continental United States. Our activities range from annual scientific conventions, regional conferences, mentorship program for medical students, and last year we even extended our activity globally by holding KAMA International Scientific Convention in Seoul. These accomplishments have been only possible with the dedication and diligence of past officers including the outgoing president, Dr. Chul S. Hyun and his executive committee, as well as each and every one of you. As we begin the New Year, I am hopeful that we can expand on our past success and build upon it. I would appreciate and encourage you to participate in KAMA activities and contribute to further growth of our very special organization! Thank you.

Scholarship Program

In keeping with its commitment to education and mentorship, KAMA has provided the Annual Scholarships to qualified medical students of Korean-American heritage since its inception. The goal of KAMA scholarship program is to promote, assist, and support eligible medical students fulfill their dream of education, scientific research, and community outreach efforts.
